Navigating the Trump Dilemma:
Is it Really WE the People?

The Republican party is ramping up to select its nominee for President of the United States. The former President Donald Trump has not participated in any of the debates and faces 91 counts of some trumped up (pun intended) charges that if convicted will force him to run the country from a jail cell. Honestly I'm good with that, the alternative I am not.
There's also an attempt to keep him off the ballot altogether and yet he still holds a substantial lead over the other candidates.
That leads us to the two questions no one seems willing to ask; What if Trump is convicted? Then what or who is next? I would think it would be whoever was the runner up.
These are both valid questions but,
That's not the question I'm asking. I want to know what that means for our country's origin story, the whole WE the People thing? I've never been a big fan to me, it's just used as an excuse for the elite to blame the people for their incompetents.
That said there are a lot of people who claim they do believe in WE the People. What about them?
At least at this point WE the people want Donald Trump, if he is not allowed to run or be on the ballot then the WE has no say in who leads the country. Sure there are multiple others on the ticket, these are false choices, chosen for YOU by the STATE.
What does this mean?
First, it will be the complete collapse of the voting system which is teetering at best. After this one though I believe the whole thing is going to be in question from both sides. If Trump wins the left will scream foul, the left wins and that's a wrap.
Second, as I said before if Trump wins the left will lose their shit as per usual do their soul scream or whatever that awful screech is, then back to the usual bitching ‘bout M’erica.
What about the MAGA or the regular American that just wants $2.23 gas again. Well if they're anything like me, and I really hope they're not. The trust in this fleeting Republic and its institutions are over.
